This Ale is the first brewed in Kansas since the pioneering days. The name “Ad Astra” comes from the Kansas State Motto - Ad Astra per Aspera, Latin words meaning “To the Stars Through Difficulties”. We’ve blended Pale, Caramel, and Munich malts for a rich amber beer. The hops balance this malty sweetness, and we’ve chosen Nugget and Fuggles hops for their flavor.

A fixture of local watering holes since the repeal of prohibition, this style of easy drinking lager gets an upgrade with an all-malt grist and a hint of hop character from citrusy Comet hops and German Saphir hops. Clean, crisp, and crushable.

This sour beer undergoes an initial fermentation with lactobacillus to achieve thirst quenching tartness further enhanced by the addition of Guava puree to the conditioning vessel. It’s tropical and refreshing and seriously delicious stuff.

Late additions of Mosaic, Amarillo, and Nelson Sauvin hops contribute tremendous hop aroma and flavor without the bitterness. You can almost see the hops.
